BIGFOOT MURDER AT CALIFORNIA POT FARM ON HULU

April 2021

A new show titled “Sasquatch,” was released on the streaming platform Hulu on April 20, 2021. It is a true crime documentary with an odd twist. At its heart is the death of three farm workers found ripped to shreds in California’s so-called Emerald Triangle of Humboldt, Trinity and Mendocino counties. Locals told investigative reporter David Holthouse, who at the time was staying in a cabin next to a marijuana farm that these men were killed by the legendary sasquatch also known as bigfoot.

The Hulu documentary explores three potential angles to this grisly murder: That the bigfoot was responsible, that the men were killed by a local drug kingpin or that the incident never happened. The men’s claims of a bigfoot butchering these men are in an area where there are many bigfoot reports, including that of Jerry Crew in 1958 who coined the term “bigfoot.”

Humboldt has the highest number of alleged sightings of any county in California. This may be partly due to the county heavily investing in the Bigfoot brand, with a Bigfoot Restaurant and The Bigfoot Taproom (“The Missing Link Between Man and Beer” is their slogan) as well as a restaurant that calls itself “home of the Bigfoot Burger.” Hulu.com
